Roger King
Roger King is a native of West Virginia and
attended W.V.U., majoring in Fine Arts. He
later transferred to the Art Institute of
Pittsburgh PA, where he studied Interior
Design. After graduation, he moved to
Phoenix Arizona in 1956 where he was a
member of the National Society of Interior
Designs, American Interior Designs,
Arizona Watercolor Association and the
Arizona Artist Guild (all juried
organizations).
Mr. King was invited to participate in the first international showing of American
Watercolorists in a world tour, which was a collection put together by the U.S.
Department of the Interior. His love of the woods, and the Arkansas seasons has
served to provide him with some dramatic landscapes.
Mr. King did demonstrations of watercolor on TV in Huntington, WV and Phoenix,
Arizona. He has led seminars in the deserts of Arizona and also Taos New Mexico
and was also a private teacher for many years in Scottsdale Arizona before retiring
to the Ozarks in 1990.
