As a child, I spent my time playing in
the woods near our farm house
learning to appreciate nature and the
wild flowe4rs in the spring and
summer.
In 1975 I moved to Yellville, Arkansas
where I found the woods to be more
beautiful and pristine than any I had
ever been in. I then began my study in
the natural sciences and incorporated
my long held interest in fiber art,
including weaving, crocheting and
simple loom weaving. All of this led
me to try my hand at basket weaving,
which allowed me to spend my time in
nature gathering vine, bark and
branches to use in my weaving.
I have been showing my work as a professional fiber artist at top national shows
throughout the country for many years. For more information about Ramona's work, visit
