Cash awards and ribbons of over $2500.00 will be given to winners.
Competition divisions will be open to all mediums; "works on canvas and works on paper."
Ages will include adults and children 15-18yrs (still in high school).
Registration & Check-in: All artists must check in and submit a completed registration form with entry fee of $45.00. Pre-registration is encouraged. All paintings must be started and completed outdoors during The 4th Annual Plein Aire on the White River 2012 event and within 30 miles of the Cotter Spring House. Each artist will receive a packet with rules, schedule of events, proper labels for completed artwork, suggested sites of interest maps and complimentary gifts from sponsors.
On Saturday, May 5th there will be a "meet the artist" reception 1p.m. to 4 p.m, announcing the 2012 winners of the event. Artwork will be for sale by many of the artists. Refreshments will be served and admission is free. For complete registration or detailed information contact the White River Artists at P.O. Box 369, Cotter AR. 72626 or email whiteriverartists@gmail.com. WRA is a 501-c3 non-profit organization.
