After receiving my B.S. and M.S. degrees in
Art Education from the University of
Wisconsin, I studied with such legendary
glass and clay artisans as Harvey Littleton,
Robert Turner, Don Reitz, Dale Chihuly and
Kent Ipsen.
I taught ceramics for 18 years at Rich East
high school in Park Forest, Illinois. My work
has appeared at many of the top national
art shows throughout the country and in
galleries from Chicago to Santa Fe and
Sedona.
I specialize in the process of Raku, an
ancient Japanese form of pottery known for
its spontaneity and random results. My
forms are created with a combination of
wheel throwing and slab building
techniques. My inspiration comes from my
respect for primitive art from many cultures.
