Martin is a native Missourian, born in 1960. It was there, growing up on his family's farm that he learned to appreciate the beauty of the land and the seasons. Martin now resides in Columbia, Missouri. Martin is a self-taught photographer who took up the serious art of photography in 1999 at the urging of friends who admired his images from his cross-country travels. In 2004, Martin became a "juried artist member" of the Missouri Artisans Association, D.B.A "Best of Missouri Hands".
