Jo Rowell is a rare artist indeed. Not
only is she an amazingly talented
painter but she is also driven and filled
with the tenacity it takes to create
(with the help of a handful of other
tenacious artists), an organization to
promote the Arts in the Ozarks and to
help nurture that same organization
for more than 15 years.

In addition to being one of the
founding members of the Palette Art
League, Jo is responsible for sparking
a love of the Arts in countless
numbers of children (and adults)
across the Ozarks over the decades.
Her young students often come back
to visit her as adults now and share
their appreciation for her and for the
gift of Art that she gave to them.
