Donna J. Crenshaw, a Tennessee
native, has lived and studied in
Arkansas most of her adult life. She
currently resides in Hot Spring,
Arkansas. Striving to more fully
express her inner visions and a
mood or statement about her
subject, she continues to study
techniques. Primarily a portraitist,
she interviews her client and the
subject, followed by one to three
photo sessions and a quick color
study. After photographing her
subjects she usually requests a
brief sitting before completing the
portrait in oil.

"I strive to make a statement about my subject's personality in each composition. A mood
or feeling about the subject should be evoked, and sometimes one is able to achieve a
composition appealing in its own right. This is always my goal."
