Dauna Tyson was born in Memphis, Tennessee but moved to the Ozarks in 1977. She lived in Arkansas until the tender age of 13 when her family moved to Tampa, Florida where she lived for the next 15 years. While in Florida, Dauna missed the mountains, creeks, lakes and rivers of the Ozarks. More than that, she really missed the solitude and the friendly people that the Ozarks are famous for. Her late father loved this area. He called it, "God's Country". He wanted Dauna and her children to move back to Arkansas in the late 90's, and they did.
Her passion for photography began in her teens. She loves capturing the beauty of nature and this is one of the most scenic places in the United States. Dauna also loves photographing children, "they are only young once", she says. She has three beautiful children. Lindsey Butler who is the model in some of Dauna's photos and wants to pursue modeling as she is very photogenic. Matthew Butler, an aspiring young artist who is also in this book. And her youngest son Taylor who is the next generation of talented artist in their home.

Dauna is a licensed real estate agent in the Ozarks and now has a photography business. She can be contacted at: 870-656-3500 or email her at: daunatyson@yahoo.com. The name of her photography business is, "Ozarks Impressions, by Dauna Tyson". Dauna is the Creative Director for The Art and Artisans of the Ozarks.
