Beth Ivens
Biography Beth Ivens
I was born in Kankakee, Illinois in 1962 and moved to Mountain
Home, Arkansas in 1970. I graduated from Mountain Home High
School in '80 where I later returned and currently teach art. I received
my BSE at the University of Central Arkansas in '84 and I have taught
elementary, middle, and high school art for 23 years. In 1985 I
married my high school sweetheart, Larry, and we have two children,
Mike, and Heather. We live in Henderson, Arkansas.
Throughout my teaching career I have spent years creating art
samples for my students but I felt compelled to "practice what I
preached". So as our nest has emptied I have begun to carve out
even more time to develop my own artistic voice. Some of my favorite
subjects include my children, landscape, and preserving memories
through still-life. I especially love working with pastel, batik, oils and
mixed media jewelry.
