Amanda Singh
Amanda Singh, born in south Arkansas, now resides in
Springdale Arkansas. Amanda earned a degree in art with
a drawing and painting emphasis from the University of
Arkansas at Little Rock. Many would consider her an
abstract artist, however; in the words of Frieda Kahlo, "I
never paint dreams or nightmares. I paint my own reality."
Due to a condition called Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis,
Amanda's vision fluctuates between blurry and
manageable. She draws as she sees the world; distorting
and blurring out part of her drawings.
When drawing, Amanda begins with a color field - it is
somewhat like the Abstract Expressionists except with
pastels. Space and actual texture is an important aspect of
her drawings as well as her paintings. To see more of
